Red Hill Spring Newsletter
Welcome to the very first edition of the new Red Hill Newsletter!
We plan 4 editions a year of this newsletter in which you will be kept up to date with any developments at Red Hill and be privy to Tom’s sharing of vision as we go forward into the purposes of God. It comes, of course, accompanied by the new logo on the header which is also through each page as a kind of watermark. We are excited about this imagery which conveys both the presence of God, as Tom has explained, but also the notion of an oasis in the desert. This is what we believe God has called us to be to those who come here.
Following the time of prayer and fasting at the beginning of this year, we are convinced that God is calling us to seek him for an outpouring of his Holy Spirit in transformational power. Beyond the first two weeks of this year, we have committed to continue calling on God for this purpose each Wednesday from 9.30am ostensibly until 10.30 am however we will be led by the Holy Spirit.
Strictly speaking, this is your newsletter so please feel free to let Peter or Michelle have any articles, book reviews announcements, letters, ads, etc. that you may have.
Closed on Monday’s starting and including 10th September.
Red Hill will be taking Monday’s as a time to give rest to the staff, the grounds and the routine workings of the whole Centre.
Each Monday we will close for all normal business, allowing a time of Sabbath to give time to recharge, renew and restore which is a vital resource for one day each week.
Two brave ladies from the Fellowship here at Red Hill (Conny & Hazel) are entering the Wolf Run on Saturday 2nd June to raise funds to support Red Hill. Our plans to develop the Centre further and build on what we already have here at the Red Hill, will be greatly supported by the contribution that Conny & Hazel hope to make. The beautiful sanctuary we already have that visitors currently experience can be further enhanced by the money they raise.
The Wolf Run is 10k of Wild Running across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes & thick mud. A combination of three kinds of off-road running: mud runs, trail runs and a series of obstacle runs. Conny & Hazel will be running, climbing, jumping, wading, crawling and swimming through a course designed to challenge their strength, skill and stamina. It’s “hardcore” and they are doing it – yikes! Take a look at this video showing the kind of stuff they will be going through.
Conny & Hazel will be most grateful for donations to help them achieve their goal. “If we manage to exceed it, that will be absolutely awesome!”, they said, “together we can make it happen”. #WolfRun4RedHill
